Exit Wounds:
Exit Wounds is a 2001 action movie based on the book of the same name, written by John Westermann. The film, aside from the title and some of the character's names has no resemblance to the novel in any way shape or form. For instance, the book takes place in Long Island and the movie in Detroit. The movie was directed by Andrzej Bartkowiak, and stars Steven Seagal as an urban detective notorious for pushing the limits of the law in his quest for justice. The story is set in Detroit, although many goofs in production make it apparent that most of the movie was filmed in Toronto, Ontario, Hamilton, Ontario[1] and Calgary, Alberta.
Production of this movie was riddled with problems, in fact, filming in Toronto was delayed when actor David Vadim was arrested and charged with committing a sexual assault on the set.
Stuntman Chris Lamon was killed during the filming of this movie. He and another stuntperson were supposed to roll safely out of a van travelling upside down on a street, but Lamon apparently hit his head and was mortally injured. He died six days after the accident.
I like this film, cause it's funny and earnest in the same time ;)
My second favourite movie is Last Samurai:
he Last Samurai is an action/drama film starring Tom Cruise. It was co-produced and directed by Edward Zwick, who also co-wrote the screenplay based on a story by John Logan. It was released in the United States on December 5, 2003. The plot deals with American soldier Nathan Algren (Tom Cruise) whose personal and emotional conflicts bring him into contact with samurai in the wake of the Meiji Restoration in the Empire of Japan in 1876 and 1877.
The film's plot is based on the 1877 Satsuma Rebellion led by Saigō Takamori, and also on the story of Jules Brunet, a French army captain who fought alongside Enomoto Takeaki in the Boshin War. The historical roles in Japanese westernization by the United Kingdom, the Netherlands and France are largely attributed to the United States in the film, and characters in the film and the real story are simplified for plot purposes. It is not an accurate source of historical information.
What can I say about this film ? I can only say it's amazing. You should see it !
